MISSION
AND
PURPOSE
Our Mission and Purpose is to bridge the gap in resources for Ethiopian emerging artists and women and children in Ethiopia and abroad.
We achieve this through our three pillars: art, environmental action, and economic empowerment.
THE THREE PILLARS
Art
The Art pillar encompasses our efforts to promote arts education, spotlight Ethiopian creative talent, and positively reframe perceptions around artistic careers.
Environment
The Environment pillar covers our environmental activism from conservation initiatives to sustainability awareness campaigns.
Economy
The Economy pillar entails our initiatives to empower vulnerable groups through vocational training and equitable access to financial resources.

OUR GOAL
Our goal is two-fold:
-
Positively influence the misperception around art professions by demonstrating the personal, academic, professional, and economic value of arts (and arts engagement).
-
Raise awareness of environmentally sound urban practices to underserved Ethiopian communities in the US and other countries. We promote conservation and sustainability through environmental education and community greening initiatives.
By pursuing this dual goal, TSEDAL empowers minority and underserved communities to unlock their potential as artists, educators, and change-makers. We envision a just world where all people can express their talents freely and steward our shared environment responsibly.
